Saint Justin Church - December, 20th 2014

The church of Levallois was already adorned with an arrangement of wood and liturgical furniture created by a Cazenoze architects. Fleur Nabert was called to complete them with a bonze altar antependium, an ambo facing, a tabernacle and a Christ. This set is the result of years of reflection and discussion to create images that complement the beautiful and sober renovation of the choir carried out previously. What are these images? On the ambo an essential, simple and direct message that can speak to the man in the street: the most beautiful message of love and fraternity of the Gospel drawn on a bronze scroll which recalls that the tree of the New Testament takes root in the land of the Old Testament. On the Altar a cross, simple and luminous, which places Christ at the confluence of gazes. A cross which does not have the shape of wood but which has already been transfigured. Because at the back of the choir looms a great Risen Christ, visible from the lively streets of Levallois. He seems to rise, arms wide open and almost dancing to tell us about this eternal life of which we know nothing but whose light we can guess. Finally, on the Tabernacle rests the dove of the Holy Spirit, the comforter that Christ left after him, the one who descends on the Eucharist during Mass and on us to "animate" us, to give us the true life of God. soul. Let us hope that these works will help to pray to those who pass here, that is to say to enter the interior space where lies, without ever being extinguished, true love.
